Another city-bound P&J winner is Susan Simpson, of Alwyn Wynd, St Fergus, Peterhead, who says winning the competition has left her spoiled for choice.

The 47-year-old administrator said: “Between my husband James andmyself we have narrowed it down to Glasgow or Edinburgh, we haven’t yet decided which city.

“Both offer such a lot with shopping and places to see, so we will enjoy either place, especially as we are going in September for my birthday.

“I entered the competition and had forgotten about it as we never win anything, so it was a pleasant surprise to win.”

Other winners are: Mrs Kathleen Wares, Pringle Avenue, Tarves; Helen Gray, Rugos Circle, Newmachar; Janet Johnston, Boswell Road, Castle Park, Inverness, and Alexis Elmslie, Low Street, New Pitsligo.
