My players lack desire, fumes manager Hunter

Fraserburgh stunned by Clach

performance was not acceptable to this club, especially after we played so well in the first half.

“Our defending in the second half was shocking, too many players were lazy and we got what we deserved in the end because Clach wanted to win it more than us.

“We lacked a belief and a fighting spirit. My worry is that there is not enough of my players willing to show this to knuckle down and win games.

“I told them they are still living off winning the Aberdeenshire Cup three weeks ago. Really, they haven't achieved anything yet and to win the league we are a long way short.

“We will have to make changes as we haven't enough characters in our team when the chips are down."

A rip-roaring encounter saw Clach recover to claim all three points with a last minute winner. The Inverness outfit lost two goals in a three-minute spell before the break but they scored three times in the final 18 minutes to move them into fourth place.

Clach manager Iain Polworth was full of praise for his side when he said: “We gifted Fraserburgh two goals with bad defending but in the second half we showed a lot of character to comeout and get our heads down as we could have been on the wrong end of a big loss if we hadn't.

“We dug deep and got ourselves back into the game with a good finish from Gordon Morrison, he then scored another and to go and win it right at the death is great.

“Paul Brindle gave us a bit of a scare last weekend with his asthma condition and we didn't know if he would be fit enough to play but he came on and grabbed a great goal to win the game.”

Broch grabbed the initiative playing some fine onetouch football and Mark Cowie putthemahead with a pin-point header from eight yards in the 38th minute.

John Willox made it two three minutes later with a close-range finish but the visitorswereright back in it when Gordon Morrison netted with a fine volley 18 minutes from time.

Morrison netted again with a low 22 yarder in the 83rd minute Clach substitute Paul Brindle showed great composure to round Paul Leask and grab the winner following a surging run from Alan Pollock.
