McIntyre calls it a day for Scotland

Euan McIntyre, Cricket Scotland’s operations director and national team manager, has announced his retirement.

McIntyre, a former Scotland cap, joined the governing body more than a decade ago and has overseen the introduction of the professional era.

He will undertake tour manager duties for the last time when Scotland head to New Zealand next month for the World Cup qualifiers.

McIntyre said: “I have enjoyed my time here immensely but it is time to move on.”

In his playing days McIntyre earned eight caps and captained the Heriot’s team that beat Grange in the 2000 Scottish Cup final.
