Ex-ICT man hit vehicle with axe

A former footballer has admitted smashing holes inanAudi car with an axe after a family argument.

Paul Bradshaw, 34, of 211 Firhill, Alness, pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to the car on March 23 after knocking holes in the roof and door panels with the axe.

Bradshaw’s sister Michelle Bradshaw, 35, of 52 Coull Park, Alness, also admitted being involved in the incident when they appeared at Tain Sheriff Court yesterday.

The twoalso admitted a second charge of a breach of the peace on March 24 after becoming involved in a fight.

Michelle Bradshaw pleaded guilty to a third charge of being in possession of an offensive weapon, namely a piece of wood.

Maciver told the court that Paul Bradshaw had been spotted attacking the car at around 6.30pm after a family member had been involved in a dispute earlier in the day.

Mr Maciver also desaid the two Bradshaws had been involved in a fight the following day and had conducted themselves in a disorderly manner in Firhill, causing a breach of the peace.

Paul Bradshaw is an ex-footballer, playing as a defender at Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Ross County, as well as a number of Highland League clubs.

Sheriff Jamie Gilchrist deferred sentencing on the Bradshaws for background­reports tobecarrie­d out.

He also asked for the cost of repairs for the Audi to be worked out before the Bradshaws’ nextappear­anceatcour­t on May 13.
