Driverwent wrongway for 11 miles

A pensioner drove the wrong way along the A23 to Brighton for 11 miles before being stopped by police.

Vehicles heading north had to swerve to avoid the 73-yearold as he drove his BMW south along lane three of the northbound carriageway yesterday.
