President ‘positive’ over truce plan

Syrian President Bashar Assad says that the UN envoy’s proposal to implement a ceasefire in the embattled northern city of Aleppo is “worth studying”. The proposal by the envoy, Staffan de Mistura, would involve freezing the fighting in certain areas to allow for humanitarian aid as part of a push toward peace.
