ST BOSWELLS – Bullocks (33) averaged 219.5p per kg and sold to 239p (+0.5p on week) Heifers (35) averaged 215.5p per kg and sold to 250p (+2.9p on week). Beef type OTM cattle (76) averaged 120.7p per kg and sold to 182p (+2.8p on the week). New season lambs averaged 180.6p per kg (+12p on the week) and sold to £93. Top price 209p per kg for Beltex. Ewes averaged £59.89, and sold to £105 for a Texel. Heavy ewes averaged £67.60; light ewes sold to £57 for BF and averaged £44.

STIRLING – Ewe lambs (42) averaged £79.43, selling to £85 for mules from J Caldwell & Son, Eat Mitchelton. Ewes (170) averaged £32.49, selling to £58 for BF ewes from Mr Forbes, Lochwinnoc­h. Short keep lambs in big demand and more could have been sold to sellers’ advantage.
