King of the hill Lennox puts rivals in the shade

field in 47:10, but the North title went to Moira Davie ( Forres Harriers) who completed the route in 48:50.

Caroline Marwick was second in 52:20 and Hilary Cameron added to the Forres medal haul by lifting the over-40s prize when finishing third in 52:28.

Davie and Cameron joined forces with Kirstie Rogan, sixth in 54:43,to give Forres another team title.

Aberdeen AAC’s Callum Symmons led Harlaw Academy to team gold medals when he finished second in the over-16 boys’ race at the Scottish Schools road running championsh­ips at Falkirk.

Alex Carcas took the individual title when completing the two-mile course in 10min 49sec while Symmons was 12sec behind in second position.

Matthew Kilner finished ninth in 11:43 and Mark Quinn sealed the team prize for Harlaw by placing 19th in 12:43.

A r ianne Ross (Charleston Academy) was sixth in the over-16 girls’ race in which the Robert Gordon’s College side of Lise Theron (13th, 8:53), Morna Holmes (19th, 9:07) and Alix Wrighton (22nd, 9:16) took fourth position in the team competitio­n.
