Fine dining feast at festival
Revellers will be treated to some fine dining inside a feasting tent at this year’s Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.
Claire MacDonald, of the Michelin- starred Kinloch Lodge Hotel in Skye, is behind the Deliciously Bella feasting tent where diners can enjoy a tremendous eating experience while they listen to their favourite music.
The restaurant, which will be at the festival, from August 6-8 near Beauly, will feature gourmet breakfasts and four sittings a day from a dinner menu created by the awardwinning chef.
The feasts will take place on long banqueting tables in the new woodland area of the festival, serving as the perfect setting for birthday celebrations, anniversaries, or to simply enjoy the local fare.
Despite the fine dining
“You’ll be welcome in your wellie boots”
label, it was revealed that diners will be served deep-fried Mars Bar bites, the chef’s special treat.
Artisan breads from the Cromarty Bakery will be served with Hebridean sea salt and Cullisse cold- pressed rapeseed oil and balsamic vinegar. Daily surf and turf platters will be bursting with langoustines, scallops and crab from the Scottish West Coast Langoustine Co-operative. On the Friday, the turf will be seared fillets of 28-day matured Highland beef, and on Saturday there will be cutlets and slowroasted legs of Highland lamb from Fraser Brothers butchers in Dingwall.
Festival promoter Joe Gibbs said: “In true Bella style, this must be the only restaurant in the world where you’ll be welcome in your wellie boots while you listen to a string quartet.”
