How to act to secure that job
A group of student actors from Inverness College UHI are heading to the final of a UK competition which aims to maximise opportunities for young people to secure work.

The play has earned the students a place in the final five of the Barclays’ Champions of Champions final tomorrow at its headquarters in Canary Wharf, London. Judges will score entries on their contribution towards helping fellow

students develop valuable employability skills. The competition is part of Barclays’ Work programme, which, in partnership with the National Skills Academy for Financial Services, aims to help 100,000 further education students in the UK maximise their chances of getting work.
Alexander McNally, 18, who filmed and edited the piece, said: “This project gave us the chance to work together and develop an original idea for a performance piece whilst also supporting our guidance team to raise awareness of the importance of employability skills amongst fellow students, particularly when the time comes to leave education for the world of work.
“This is our chance to shine and prove the Highlands have more going on than most people think.”
