A82 closed after one-vehicle crash
A motorist had to be cut free from her car yesterday following a one vehicle crash in the Highlands.
The A82 Inverness to Glasgow trunk road was briefly closed following the accident south of Dochgarroch just before 6pm.
A police spokesman confirmed the woman – who was the sole occupant of the car – was taken to Raigmore Hospital.
He said: “She was conveyed to hospital for further examination. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
“We closed the road for a time because the accident was on a bend.”
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire & Rescue service said they were called to the scene at 5.55pm to assist paramedics.
He said: “Crews were involved in cutting away from the roof to allow extraction of the casualty.”
