Duo await sentence
Sentence has been deferred on two Inverness neighbours who were involved in a disturbance in a city street. Gavin Stewart, 44, of 48 Assynt Road, admitted behaving in a threatening manner and brandishing a Samurai sword in the street on August 29.
Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood called for a background report on Stewart and deferred sentence until the same date of February 8 on his co-accused Ryan Brandie, of 56 Assynt Road, who was remanded in custody. Brandie pleaded guilty to breach of the peace and engaging in a stand up fight.
