Spare a thought for Inverurie Locos manager Scott Buchan and his players.

Last Saturday, Locos hosted league leaders Buckie Thistle in the Scottish Cup and lost 6-0. Today, the sides meet again at Harlaw Park in the league.

Buckie manager Graeme Stewart said: “We have players back, including Chris Angus, so we will be stronger than last week, but we are also expecting Inverurie to have one or two players back as well.

“They’ll have put in hard training sessions and will want to keep their discipline. This will be a completely different game.”

Locos manager Scott Buchan read the riot act to his players and said:“We have worked on some issues in training and kept the players back on Wednesday. We’ll see if they learned anything.”

Brora manager Grant Munro knows his side will be in for a tough encounter when another top- five team, Fraserburgh, are the Keith manager Allan Hale is demanding a reaction from his players after their Scottish Cup loss to junior club Banks o’ Dee in the Highland League derby against Huntly today.

Forres goalkeeper Stuart Knight scored a memorable goal in added time on Saturday to keep his side in the Scottish Cup.

Today his focus is on ensuring Lossiemouth are kept at bay and his side complete the task of securing a second-round berth.

Knight scored from a corner to earn his side a replay after a 2-2 draw and said: “If we stop Lossie from scoring we’re a long way there as, with the attacking players we have, I can’t see us not scoring.

“It will be a tough game and Lossie will definitely be up for it. They would have been on a downer this week after my equaliser and will be trying to make amends.”

Coasters manager Charlie Charlesworth has injury concerns and said: “Joao Rodrigues is suspended. It was a real disappointment not to get the win last week but hopefully we can go one better this time.”

Mechanics’ manager Charlie Rowley said: “We have to make sure we capitalise on last week. We are better prepared going into this replay, we have a decent record at Grant Park and hopefully we can continue that.”

Turriff United travel to East of Scotland junior club Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic.

United manager Ross Jack said: “We started as underdogs in our 1-1 draw last Saturday and nothing much has changed.

“We have a bigger squad, with midfielder Allen MacKenzie having recovered from an eye infection, and it is only half-time so we need to make sure we complete the job.”
