Kerr braced for double trouble

-

Dundee full back Cammy Kerr is ready for the challenge of trying to stop two of his toughest opponents tonight when Aberdeen visit Dens Park.

The 21-year-old will go head- to- head with the Dons’ Jonny Hayes and Niall McGinn when Derek McInnes takes his side to Tayside and Kerr regards his opponents as two of the best in the country.

He said: “Their wide players are good and they take care of the ball really well but that’s what you’d expect from a team sitting where they are in the league.

“Jonny Hayes is really good. He’soneof thetoughest players to play against because of his pace and his movement.

“Niall McGinn is the same. He’s an international player and someone who doesn’t give you a moment.

“But they have loads of players who can hurt you, so you can’t just focus on one or two.

“We have run the bigger teams close this season and have been unlucky in a few of the games, so hopefully we’re due one this week. But against Aberdeen you have to be at your best because they are a very good side.”

Kerr received credit for the way he kept one of Celtic’s key men, Kieran Tierney, relatively quiet at Dens in Dundee’s last match before the international break. He is hoping to repeat his performance tonight.

“Kieran is a very good player but I’ve not read too muchintomy performance against him,” he said.

“I take every game as it comes and all I try to do is make it as difficult as possible for the guy I’m playing against.
