Renewableenergy schemetolaunch
Scotland’s energy revolution took a major step following the completion of a new community renewable energy scheme for the Highlands.
Operated by Lochbroom Community Renewables which is run by volunteers, the 100KW run-of-river hydro was completed at the beginning of this month and is scheduled to ‘switch on’ this Saturday.
The hydro is expected to generate income for community projects over the next 20-40 years.
