Air pollution ‘could affect’ sperm quality
Living in areas with high levels of air pollution could lead to poorer sperm quality, a new study suggests.
Exposure to ambient air pollution “may serve as a risk factor of male reproductive health”, researchers at the Chinese University of Hong Kong concluded.
Increases in fine particulate matter were associated with a significant drop in normal sperm shape and size - also known as sperm morphology.
