Fodder Bank relaunched

The NFU has relaunched its Fodder Bank to help members wishing to find animal feed for their farms, or sell any surplus to others.

The union’s president, Minette Batters, said the scheme had been triggered as a result of the sustained wet weather on farms across the country.

She said: “We will also be discussing impacts of the wet weather and any support needed with industry and government. During this particularly difficult time for many farmers, it is vital that government lends its support to ensure farmers are able to continue managing their businesses effectively.”
