BACK IN BANFF
• Spring Vintage Fair, Banff Castle, Castle Street, Banff AB45 1DL
• Sunday 15, 10am until 4pm
Banff Castle is slightly misnamed nowadays as the current building is actually a splendid mansion house, built in 1750 by the renowned Fifeborn architect John Adam. It replaced the original 12th-century motte and bailey castle and is a fine venue for this Spring Vintage Fair which will feature a number of businesses specialising in all kinds of nostalgic stuff. Items on sale will include retro homewares, vintage fashions, antiques and unusual gifts. One thing that hasn’t changed over the years is the desire for a hot cuppa and during your visit you can enjoy a refreshing “tea and a wad” from a WWII-styled NAAFI tea wagon.
