Police hunt for city sex attacker
Police are hunting a man who sexually assaulted a woman at a property in Inverness.
The attack happened in the Montague Row area of the Dalneigh district in the city at around noon on Sunday.
Police have appealed for information and officers are particularly keen to speak to a man seen walking from the city centre area towards Dalneigh shortly before the incident.
He is described as being middle aged, of skinny build with short dark hair.
He was wearing a red jacket, baseball cap, black trousers and black trainers.
He is believed to have been walking with a woman who was wearing a long, green coat.
Detective Inspector Eddie Ross said: “This was a particularly distressing incident.
“The victim was uninjured but has been understandably extremely shaken by what happened.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and I would like to reassure the public that we are working to identify the individual responsible. I am appealing to anyone who has information which could help our investigation to come forward.
“You may have seen the individuals described but thought nothing of it at the time.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
