Driver hurt after coach hits barrier

A coach driver has been taken to hospital after her vehicle crashed into a barrier in Middlesbrough.

The woman, who was the only person on board, suffered leg injuries, Cleveland Police said.

The collision, which took place just before 8am on the A66, at the turnoff for the A172, caused delays.

The woman was taken by ambulance to James Cook University Hospital.
