Moray Firth oil transfers concern

SIr, – I have written before about my fears of a catastrophic crude oil spill in the Moray Firth if vast amounts are transferred using the ship-to-ship system.

Every large amount of oil transfer results in a major spill sooner or later, which would result in the Moray Firth being reduced to a long-term graveyard polluted by the corpses of the wildlife which at present brings great joy to locals and visitors.

Not just an ugly “graveyard” of old oil rigs to put the cruise ship passengers off their breakfast, but dead and rotten wildlife over the whole area! And the people who plan and organise such misuse of
