Holiday jobs led to long career

Alastair Storey grew up in Fyvie and attended Robert Gordon’s College in Aberdeen.

He initially wanted to go to art school but instead studied hospitalit­y and catering management at Strathclyd­e University.

His passion for hospitalit­y flourished during summer hotel jobs and after graduating he joined Sutcliffe Catering, part of Granada Group, as a trainee. He rose

“Still keeps an eye on the ups and downs of Aberdeen FC”

through the ranks to become Granada’s group managing director and, in 2000, joined forces with colleague Keith Wilson to set up Westbury Street Holdings.

Although he lives in Berkshire these days, Mr Storey still keeps an eye on the ups and downs of his beloved Aberdeen FC and is looking forward to visiting the club’s new stadium.
