GREIG PIANO DUO
Throughout his life, Estonian composer Urmas Sisask felt a strong connection to the stars and composed many pieces inspired by stellar constellations.
Tomorrow night at the Universal Hall, Findhorn, The Grieg Piano Duo, aka Elles van der Heiden and Siebert Nix, will play three of his pieces, together with one of Schubert’s, in a special concert-with-slides programme. Images of constellations taken with the Hubble and other telescopes are projected in a continuous sequence as a backdrop to the live piano music. Performed many times in the Netherlands, the show, entitled Key to the Stars, has been a real with audiences over there and needs to be seen and heard live to be fully appreciated. Tomorrow’s concert starts at 8pm.
