Bin lorry col­li­sion claims de­nied


A man has de­nied caus­ing the death of a 14-yearold girl when a bin lorry col­lided with a school minibus.

Ni­cholas Buck was granted un­con­di­tional bail af­ter mak­ing a brief ap­pear­ance be­fore a judge at Birm­ing­ham Crown Court yes­ter­day.

The 52-year-old, from King­shurst, Birm­ing­ham, pleaded not guilty to a sin­gle charge of caus­ing death by danger­ous driv­ing.

The charge re­lates to a col­li­sion on July 7 last year which re­sulted in the death of Holly Brown.

The teenager was among a party of 21 stu­dents from a school in Bar­ton-un­der-Need­wood, Stafford­shire, trav­el­ling in a minibus on the A38 Kings­bury Road in Cas­tle Vale, Birm­ing­ham, when the crash hap­pened.
