Unworkable waste of police merger

-

SIR, –It was reported that it would cost around £500,000 per officer if the merger between the British Transport Police (BTP) and Police Scotland were to go ahead.

The SNP Government is good at squandering money and thinking through ill-gotten plans which are unworkable.

Maybe now the SNP will listen to the BTP before going ahead with any kind of merger.

If you ask me, I think that this merger is both unworkable and a waste of taxpayers’ money.
