Kilmallie aim to box clever without stalwart

Kilmallie will be without the defensive punch of Robbie MacFadyen for their Balliemore Cup home tie with Tayforth as he is making his boxing debut.

MacFadyen is a member of Lochaber Phoenix ABC and is in competitiv­e action for the first time in Fort William tomorrow evening.

Manager Mark MacPherson said: “Robbie won’t play in case he is injured a few hours before his first fight.

“He’s an excellent wing back for us but we appreciate that boxing has now become his other sporting love.

“We hope he gets a knockout – and we don’t.”
