Hold­ers Gram­mar hope for winning start

Grades cricket gets un­der way to­mor­row in the Aberdeen and Aberdeen­shire area with Aberdeen Gram­mar hop­ing to get the de­fence of their Grade 1 title of to a winning start against Man­nofield at Ru­bis­law.

There are 28 teams in the newly struc­tured Aberdeen­shire Cricket As­so­ci­a­tion Grades, com­pet­ing in the three di­vi­sions.

Bon Ac­cord start their sea­son at the Links against newly pro­moted Stoney­wood-Dyce, while Grampian, the other new team in the di­vi­sion, travel to Academy. In­verurie host Cres­cent, while Cults are at home to Knight Riders.

In Grade 2, Meth­lick meet last sea­son’s Grade 3 winners Stone­haven at the Lairds while re­cently rel­e­gated El­lon Gordon take on Knight Riders 2nds at Shed­dock­sley.

In Grade 3, Ban­chory host Tur­riff in their first game af­ter be­ing rel­e­gated.
