Full steam ahead: Black Five of the 1950s in it for the long haul

A ‘Black Five’ steam locomotive hauls a 10-carriage train out of Bath Railway Station yesterday. The loco met a Southern Railway 1920s Mogul steam loco to haul a special excursion main line passenger train between Yeovil, Dorchester and Weymouth for the first time in more than 50 years. The trip was part of the Great Britain XI excursion train which started its nine-day journey from London’s Kings Cross station last week for a tour of England, Scotland and Wales.
