Arlene’ s family living in hope

-

It was one of the most shocking and haunting murder cases not just in Scotland, but anywhere in the world.

On the 20th anniversary of Arlene Fraser’s disappearance from her New Elgin home, her family have spoken of their hope that one day they will find out exactly what happened and where her remains lie.

They say only man knows the answers – her jailed husband Nat Fraser, who protests his innocence.

It remains a living hell for Arlene’s family, who have given a powerful insight into the burden that weighs them down every day of their lives.

Any news reports of human remains being found fills them with hope, and dread. They wish they could have a proper grave where they could grieve just like anyone else.

A breakthrough in the case is always possible, as so many people are carrying living memories surrounding the tragic events at the time. Various people probably hold the key to helping to explain what happened to Arlene – and could ease the suffering of those who still grieve.
