Putting children first with charity lunch
What: Aberdeen Ladies’ Lunch for Children 1st.
Where: The Marcliffe Hotel and Spa. Who: Aberdeen Fundraising Committee organised its annual Ladies’ Lunch where guests enjoyed a two-course meal and entertainment. Guest speaker, P&J columnist Yvie Burnett, entertained the ladies with stories of the celebrity side of her life and even had the audience singing. A cheque for more than £5,500 will be handed over to Children 1st.
Why: Children 1st is Scotland’s national children’s charity which helps families to put children first with practical advice and support in difficult times. It supports survivors of abuse, neglect and other traumatic events in childhood to recover.
