Teenager admits causing damage
A teenager who caused £1,200 of damage to her room in homeless accommodation must carry out 160 hours of unpaid work.
Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood also ordered that Cherise Davidson, 18, of High Street, Inverness, should be under social work supervision for two years.
Inverness Sheriff Court was told yesterday by defence solicitor David Patterson that Davidson, who was repaying the cost of the damage, had “a difficult upbringing” and “doesn’t trust people in authority”.
Davidson admitted maliciously damaging furniture and a TV and behaving in an abusive and threatening manner towards police on February 13.
She also admitted behaving in a threatening manner and resisting arrest in Inglis Street on July 21.
