Whisky galore at festival Events: Some of the industry’ s biggest brands to visit Elgin Town Hall
The third annual Spirit of Speyside: Distilled Festival will take place next weekend, with the majority of whisky’s bigname brands poised to make an appearance.
Representatives from Macallan, Glenlivet and Glenfiddich are scheduled to appear at the event and will be hosting stalls to meet and greet visitors and discuss their craft.

best local products with many of Moray’s brewers, gin crafters and food producers joining the whisky distillers.
Festival chairman James Campbell said he was looking forward to welcoming guests from all over the world to a weekend of “great food and drink and good conversation”.
He added: “We are expecting visitors from several different countries including the USA and Canada.
“It’s great to see that the reputation of Speyside is growing internationally with all this interest.
“We are now in our third year, and while it used to be a big challenge to get all the superstars of whisky under one roof, it’s fantastic to see all of them coming this year.”
W i t h a r o u n d 4 0 stalls, live music and the World Oatcake Eating Championships taking place, the organisers believe visitors will not be disappointed.
The festivities are being held at Elgin Town Hall next Friday and Saturday, and there will be four different sessions running throughout the two days, one in the afternoon and one in the evening.
Mr Campbell is hoping to attract a nice mixture of people of all ages and backgrounds to the festival.
He said: “The plan is to run a reasonably sized event with not too many people.
“We have put a limit 400 for each session.
“This is so that people of don’t have to queue in huge lines to get a drink and to give them the chance to speak to people from the whisky companies, so they can pour them a dram and have a chat to them about the business.”
