Ackley Bridge

(Channel 4, 8pm-9pm) School days are supposed to be the happiest of your life. However, as we all know, that’s not always the case, especially when GCSEs are looming and there’s the feeling that you’ve not done enough revision. That’s the problem facing Jordan (Samuel Bottomley) this week. He finds an art college that he wants to go to, but his lack of preparation may let him down. Though Mandy (Jo Joyner) encourages him to concentrate, he is soon distracted by a reunion with his estranged mum. It sets him on a course of destruction that may be unsalvageable. Meanwhile, Mandy questions her loyalty to Sadiq (Adil Ray) and risks her role as Headteacher.
