- BY MICHELLE HENDERSON

Dozens of women from across Argyll are to come together this weekend to inspire one another to help turn their lives around.

The four-day Goddess Gathering event is being held for its second year running following its renowned success.

The event will take place at Portavadie Marina Spa from Friday until Monday, aiming to promote collectiveness among females and inspire each other through their own experiences.

Organiser Lilia Sinclair, 58, said: “It was a huge success last year.

“The feedback was more positive than I could have dreamt.

“The idea was to get women together and

encourage collaboration instead of competition.

“Great new friendships were made as well – that was another lovely surprise.

“Last year the message was collaboration, not competition. We are designed to live in communities and rely on each other for support to survive, but the modern way of living has us often too busy and feeling we need to compete.

“This can cause a lot of stress which is not good for our health.

“We need to look after each other, we are all in this together, and in business, private life and relationships we will all be much happier if we collaborate instead of competing.

“This year is all about inspiration.

“How we rise up from challenges and turn our lives around.

“We have inspirational stories from women who have suffered greatly in different areas and now use their stories to help and inspire others.”
