Price takes momentum into duel with Wee Gers

-

Elgin City manager Gavin Price feels the Black and Whites have momentum on their side ahead of today’s League 2 match at home to Berwick Rangers.

City have won three of their last four matches with Price also pleased with City’s display in their 1-0 loss to Annan Athletic during that sequence.

Price feels his side can approach today’s game with confidence when they host a ninthplaced Berwick side still looking for their first league win under new manager Johnny Harvey.

Price said: “We have just got to concentrate on what we are doing, particularly at home.

“We are in a good place in terms of how we are playing. The players are looking confident and we are starting to create more chances.

“We will take it game by game but Saturday gives us a real chance to put some points on to our total.

“We want to take advantage of how we are playing just now.

“We got what we deserved at Cowdenbeath last week - albeit very late in the day.

“In the last two games we have played really well and it looked like we were only going to have one point to show for it but I was pleased to see us get what I felt we deserved.

“It made up for the defeat the week before.”

City struck late to defeat Cowdenbeath at Central Park last week and Price feels the impact of Brian Cameron and winning goalscorer Shane Sutherland has been crucial to his side’s form.

He added: “The form of Brian and Shane has been key. They are important to the way we are playing and both are hitting the form I expect from them.”
