Entrepreneurial bright sparks emerge
Some of Scotland’s brightest entrepreneurs are preparing to graduate from Elevator’s latest Accelerator programmes across Scotland.
Held at Elevator’s Centre of Entrepreneurship in Aberdeen, Dundee and Perth, participants – known as founders – are matched with mentors to help them to propel their business ideas and nurture their entrepreneurial spirit.
Every week experienced business leaders present to the cohort and share their own experience and insight on themes.
During graduation later this month, founders will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to an audience of supporters and potential investors.
Aberdeen’s participants are driving technologyenabled ideas around our ageing society, clean growth, the future of mobility or the increased use of AI and data.
Among the future ones to watch is Nexves, an app which sits on top of any existing current account to provide bigger rewards, make data intelligent to help users save money and influence their wealth.
Chris Herd, founder of Nexves, said: “The Accelerator programme has been really interesting. It has exposed our team to opportunities, workshops and people I would have never encountered. It has also helped us realise that there is a business to business application for Nexves, information which was shared with us after speaking to a number of the largest British banks.”
