Finance firm adds two new directors
Johnston Carmichael has beefed up its leadership team with two director level promotions.
Andrew Holloway becomes a director in the Aberdeen-based accountancy firm’s tax team while James Hamilton becomes a director in the audit team.
Mr Holloway is head of entrepreneurial taxes at Johnston Carmichael, where he has doubled the size of his specialist team across three of the firm’s largest offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
He travels around the firm’s 11 offices to help nurture young businesses, advising on employee incentivisation, Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme and Enterprise Investment Scheme investments, and workrelated securities advice.
Johnston Carmichael chief executive Sandy Manson said: “At a time when the accountancy profession is being transformed by technology and our clients are being challenged more than ever as they take steps to grow their businesses, talented people remain our greatest asset and resource.
“Andrew and James have each shown outstanding ability, dedication and drive in the way that they support both their clients and colleagues, and thoroughly deserve their new roles as directors.”
Founded in 1936, Johnston Carmichael has grown to become the largest independent firm of chartered accountants and business advisers in Scotland.
It has offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Elgin, Inverurie, Fraserburgh, Huntly, Forfar, Perth and Stirling.
