Windfall prospect if Fraser is sold on

- Ryan Fraser

Aberdeen could be set for a windfall if Everton succeed with their reported bid to sign Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser.

The Dons are understood to have inserted a 20% sell-on clause when Fraser moved from Pittodrie to Bournemouth in 2013 in a £400,000 deal.

Everton and Southampton have been linked with a £15 million move for the winger, which would earn the Dons around £3m.

Fraser has contributed the most assists in the English Premier League this season, setting up nine goals.

The Aberdonian has 18 months left on his deal with the Cherries.

Earlier this season Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe admitted he expects Fraser to leave the club for a bigger team.

He said: “Ryan can go wherever he wants to go. With his age and attitude he has a really bright future. The key thing for him is believing how good he is.

“One of the first things we saw when we started to work with Ryan was his quality and technical ability, which is so high.

“He has got two lovely feet and a very good football brain.

“It was more a case of just wanting him to show everybody what he could do on a consistent basis and he has begun to do that.”
