An Aberdeen art duo have launched an online service offering special gift boxes that you can send to loved ones.
The pair launched their business last year and discovered that some of their themed boxes sold out in a week.
Aimee Porter, 32, and Emma Mackenzie, 31, met when they both studied at Gray’s School of Art.
Having kept in touch despite going on separate travels around the world, they launched Native Sister after realising how difficult it can be to send gifts to friends and family.
Their business also focuses on the environment with organic homemade beauty products and gifts sourced from small businesses across the north-east, Highlands and Islands.
“One of our gift boxes sold out in little more than a week of going online,” said Aimee.
“Between us, myself and Emma have lived in six cities across five countries and it was when maintaining relationships long distance, not only with each other but with family, friends and partners, that the seed for our gifting dream was planted.
“We found it challenging to find unique and special gifts for our loved ones without trawling the shops or internet for hours.
“And even when we did, adding a personal touch and posting it ourselves cost an arm and a leg.
“We knew there had to be a better way to make the whole process of gifting inspiring, enjoyable and with affordable products.”
You can pick from themed boxes or make your own selection of gifts.
“Each product that goes into one of our gift boxes has been carefully researched,” said Emma.
“We love the feeling you get when you watch a loved one open a gift you have bought them, so we strive to honour that feeling.
“It’s also important to us that we consider the environment in every decision we make and aim to work with brands who share this passion with us.
“We source all our packaging from within the UK. Our branded gift boxes are produced and printed at one of the last rigid box makers left in the country.
“We’re excited for the future and can’t wait to help our customers embrace their inner artist and enjoy the wonderful feeling of giving.”
