Battle at bottom enters final stretch

-

Kilmallie’s Innes Blackhall completes a two-game suspension by missing their vital Premiership relegation battle at home to Inveraray, who will be without three banned players.

Player-boss Ruaridh Graham and attacker Lewis Montgomery have ongoing suspensions while Allan Macdonald begins a two-match ban.

The battle to stay out of the two relegation places is now between Lochaber, on seven points with five to play, Kilmallie, on seven points with six remaining, and Inveraray, on six with six to go.

Inveraray’s revival continued with their win over Lochaber but the Caol clash is crucial to both teams.

Lochaber, who visit Lovat, welcome back Barry MacDonald from suspension but Shaun Nicholson remains injured.

Lovat’s Lorne MacKay misses the final match of his three-game ban.

In the National Division, Craig Macmillan remains suspended for Oban Celtic who host leaders Fort William – who have Lewis Clark and Ally MacRae back from holiday as they bid to make it 11 league wins on the spin.

Former Scotland captain John Barr has picked up a one-game ban which keeps him out for Glen Urquhart’s key promotion tussle with Glasgow Mid Argyll at Drumnadrochit, while Conor Golabek, sent off last week, also misses out for Glen.

With five games to go Glen are seven points ahead of Mid Argyll, who have three games in hand .

But Mark Bain’s men will be without former Kinlochshiel raider Oliver MacRae, who is suspended.
