Avoch close the gap in stoppage time

-

Avoch closed the gap on Inverness and District Premier League leaders Loch Ness to three points but they needed to score twice in stoppage time in a 4-3 win against NMM Sam’s at Coronation Park.

The Black Islers, who have a game in hand on the leaders, found themselves a goal down after Charlie Fonweban scored the only goal of the first half. But counters from Niall Docherty and Jack MacKay saw Avoch lead 2-1 before late strikes from John McLaughlin and David Cameron looked to have won it for Sam’s.

However, goals from Struan McArthur and Docherty deep in stoppage time clinched the points in dramatic fashion.

Chris Kelly scored both Culbokie’s goals, while Andrew Gow and Jamie Skinner replied for Contin.
