Bus firm motors in with support

Bus operator D&E coaches has become a sponsor for Eden Court’s pantomime.

The Inverness-based company will support this year’s Beauty and the Beast production when it takes to the stage at the city centre venue in December.

During the monthlong staging of the fairy tale, the operator will whisk the stars of the show away to Raigmore Hospital’s children’s unit to give the boys, girls and nurses a laugh.

Managing director Donald Mathieson, who founded the business with his wife Elizabeth 23 years ago, said: “We have enjoyed our best ever six months in terms of private hires.

“We’ve opted to put something back into the community by sponsoring the pantomime, which is always a side-splitting adventure.”

Alison Logsdail, head of fundraising and philanthropy for Eden Court, added: “Having the support of such a well-known, successful Highland business is really valuable.”
