Engine difficulties force tow

Mallaig lifeboat and the coastguard rescue team from Kyle of Lochalsh were both paged in the early hours of yesterday morning to assist a yacht suffering from engine difficulties.

The incident, near to Armadale harbour was first reported at 4am, with the RNLI crew taking the vessel under tow into Armadale.

Both teams stood down around 5.30am.
