Man arrested at Gatwick on terrorcharges

A man has been arrested at Gatwick Airport on suspicion of terror offences.

The 51-year-old was held by anti-terror officers on Wednesday evening on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts.

Scotland Yard said the arrest is not linked to a “UK-based threat or threat to the airport”.

The suspect was released on bail to return to a Sussex police station in late August.
