CREATIVITY THRIVES IN ART LINK-UP

Where: The Anatomy Rooms, Aberdeen.

Who: Invited guests included Jo Capper from Birmingham gallery Grand Union, Shetlandba­sed artist initiative GAADA, local projects D2, Kirsty Russell of Underpinni­ng, and curator Naoko Mabon, as well as Scottish collective­s Dain Hings and A+E. The day concluded with a screening of Swedish artist Petra Bauer and SCOT-PEP’s new film, Workers.

Why: Assembly Aberdeen was a day-long event co-organised by A-N, the UK’s largest artists network, and Aberdeen-based artist initiative, Tendency Towards. The day saw 55 local and national artists engage in a series of workshops, discussion­s and film screenings inspired by the collaborat­ive nature of Aberdeen’s creative scene.
