CREATIVITY THRIVES IN ART LINK-UP
What: Assembly Aberdeen.
Where: The Anatomy Rooms, Aberdeen.
Who: Invited guests included Jo Capper from Birmingham gallery Grand Union, Shetlandbased artist initiative GAADA, local projects D2, Kirsty Russell of Underpinning, and curator Naoko Mabon, as well as Scottish collectives Dain Hings and A+E. The day concluded with a screening of Swedish artist Petra Bauer and SCOT-PEP’s new film, Workers.
Why: Assembly Aberdeen was a day-long event co-organised by A-N, the UK’s largest artists network, and Aberdeen-based artist initiative, Tendency Towards. The day saw 55 local and national artists engage in a series of workshops, discussions and film screenings inspired by the collaborative nature of Aberdeen’s creative scene.
