Warm welcome for the first minister

-

SIR, – Regarding Bill Malcolm’s letter (November 14).

I was in the crowd of Stonehaven residents waiting to welcome Nicola Sturgeon to the town’s Market Square last Thursday.

On arrival Ms Sturgeon spoke directly to Mr Malcolm regarding his concerns.

She then asked him to give his contact details to Fergus Mutch, the SNP candidate for West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine, and informed him that he would

be contacted later regarding his queries.

Mr Malcolm then shook hands with the first minister and left Market Square.

The first minister remained in Stonehaven for some time and engaged with both the waiting crowd and passers-by.

I’m pleased to report that she received a warm welcome from Stonehaven townspeople.
