McCracken resigns from Blue Toon

-

Peterhead have accepted the resignation of first-team coach David McCracken so the 38-year-old can return to former clubs Falkirk as their joint interim head coach along with exDon Lee Miller.

The Bairns approached the Blue Toon on Sunday for permission to speak to McCracken to help fill the gap left by the sacking of Ray McKinnon following Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Dumbarton.

Peterhead may however have not seen the last of McCracken as they have agreed not to fill his job should Falkirk decide against recruiting him permanently before the end of the year.

A Peterhead spokesperson said: “It is an unusual situation as the Falkirk job is interim however we will not look to replace him in the short term.”

Miller who started his career at Falkirk back in 2000 is also expected to come on board from Livingston on an interim basis as well as Falkirk look to bring in a new head coach.
