Will virus disembark with sightseers?
SIR, – It appears that Cromarty Firth Port Authority has no plans to close the port of Invergordon to hundreds of cruise ships with thousands of passengers and crew disembarking. The Highlands, until now, have few reported cases of coronaviris.
We only have one large hospital,
Raigmore in Inverness, that has an ICU.
Surely allowing these cruise ships to enter Invergordon defeats the purpose of banning large gatherings and restrictions on flying and clearly will put much pressure on the NHS.
