I like to throw litter back at miscreants

-

SIR, – There have been a number of letters on litter. To deal with this embarrass the perpetrators. Tell them to pick it up.

One day a car was leaving a car park with parents in the front and teenagers in the back. A rear window was opened and the remains of a takeaway dumped at my feet. I picked it up and shouted at the driver, who stopped. He wound down the window and I threw the rubbish across him towards the passenger. The drink can was not empty and the contents sprayed over her. The car rapidly departed.

Three older ladies stood nearby and one said: “We wish we had the nerve to do that.”

We need people with nerve . Graham Tuley, Crown Drive,
