Do you really live in Scotland if you don’t own a pair of wellies? Whether you bide in the city and your wellies seldom leave the boot of your car, or you’re used to roaming the Highlands in your Hunters – wellies are staple footwear. Once the typical look for those working in the countryside, wellies have now gone mainstream.
Traditional bottle green galoshes have been replaced by the fashion welly, which is altogether brighter and trendier.
Alas, this type of welly is ironically not practical for wet weather.
Wellies designed to look stylish often don’t last long.

From calf-length to ankle-boot style, there’s a wide selection of wellies.
If you’re using them to trek through mud, you need an enduring knee-height boot.
But if you want a more basic pair for a woodland walk, the ankle boot will fit the bill.
When it comes to sizing, remember you’ll be wearing thick socks as opposed to trainer liners.
So don’t be tempted to size down for a snugger fit.
